GROUP REGISTRATION
We offer a group option for runners who want to ensure everyone in their party gets into the race together. Everyone interested in being part of a group registration needs to register prior to the lottery taking place. Each person will register and will select the GROUP option.
You will type in the group name your party has selected. That group will get ONE ticket for the lottery. If the group name is drawn, everyone registered under that group name will get into the race. If that group name is not drawn, NO ONE registered under that group name will get into the race.
Example: James, Jessie, and Elizabeth want to register as a group. They decide upon the name "Run for Fun." When the lottery opens, all three people sign themselves up for the race. During the registration process, they select the GROUP option and enter the name "Run for Fun." After the lottery closes, each group will have one ticket and if "Run for Fun" is drawn, James, Jessie, and Elizabeth all get into the race. If that team name is not drawn, none of them get in. If their friend, William, forgets to register during the lottery window, he will not be able to be added in after the lottery is closed and unfortunately will not be a part of that group. If Elizabeth accidentally enters her group name as "Running for Fun", she will not be linked together with her friends since the names are different.
This option was created for those who would not want to run the race if their friend/family member did not get in.
