Learn New Skills
The trails we run and hike on would not exist without experienced and knowledgeable trail crew leaders and crew members. Many of us learn as we go at trail work parties but some tasks and roles require a formal certification process. Thankfully a lot of the organizations that lead trail work parties also offer opportunities to take thigs a step further with classes and certifications. And if trail work isn't your favorite way to help protect the trails and parks don't worry there are other ways you can give back like being a WTA Trail Ambassador which they will provide you with training for.
